Diplomová práce zpracovává zobrazení problematiky outsiderství, handicapu a rodinných těžkostí v próze s dětským hrdinou. Zaměřuje se na díla předních autorů literatury pro děti a mládež napsaná v 90.letech 20.století. Úvodní kapitola se věnuje zachycení teorie přirozených lidských potřeb sestavenou Abrahamem Maslowem. Ta je spolu s další odbornou literaturou často odrazovým můstkem autorů literatury pro děti a mládež, neboť pomáhá pochopit dětské i obecně lidské jednání, a díky tomu jej reálněji přiblížit. Následující kapitoly jsou věnovány komparaci knih, v nichž se hlavní hrdina či jeho blízké okolí potýkají s řadou nepříznivých okolností. Sledovány byly způsoby, jimiž jsou dané problematiky čtenářům předkládány - jednotlivé kompoziční postupy, užité druhy vypravěče či charakteristik, jazykové prostředky apod. The Graduation theses reviews imaging of being an outsider, handicap and family difficulties in prose with child character. It focuses on the front writer's pieces of children's literature written in 1990s. Introductory chapter applies to the Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Together with other specialized literature this theory presents a basis for authors of the children's literature. It allows them to understand children (and human generally) behavior which helps them to describe it in a more realistic way. The following chapters are devoted to the comparison of books where the main character and his companions face many adverse circumstances. Attention was paid to methods which had been used to present the topics to the reades - particular compositional methods, used means of narrator, language instruments etc.
