Ve své práci se věnuji vytváření britské rozvojové politiky z pohledu teorie multi-level governance. Má diplomová práce představuje případovou studii vytváření rozvojové politiky (RP) v prostředí víceúrovňového vládnutí na příkladu jednoho z členských států Evropské Unie, Spojeného království Velké Británie a Severního Irska. Jako cíl své práce bych chtěla zjistit jakou roli hraje evropská integrace ve vývoji rozvojové politiky VB, nakolik evropská integrace rozvojovou politiku VB ovlivnila a jak VB prosazuje své zájmy v mezinárodním rozvoji na úrovni evropského vládnutí. Na evropskou rozvojovou politiku (RP) budu pohlížet z perspektivy Spojeného království Velké Británie a Severního Irska1. Musím nicméně zdůraznit, že rozvojová politika VB je ovlivněna několika specifiky, které ji odlišují od rozvojových politik jiných členských států EU. Tato specifika mají své kořeny v historických, kulturních a politických specifikách VB. Proto nelze výsledky této práce automaticky přenést na jiné členské státy EU s rozdílnou kulturou, historií a politickým systémem. Je ale možné se delšími zkušenostmi z jiných členských států inspirovat i při vytváření koncepce nově se rodících rozvojových politik deseti nových členských států EU a mezi nimi i v České republice. VB má dlouhou tradici rozdělování rozvojové pomoci svým... This theses analyses the development policy of a member state of the European Union. It examines the development policy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Its development policy is explored through the expectations of the multi-level governance theory. According to this theory the governance in European Union is carried out on several different levels. This applies to european politics, polity and also for policies. And one of the European policies is also development policy. This theses argues that the UK exercises its development policy on several different levels. Its traditional bilateral development policy shows aspects of "path dependency". More than half of its development assistence gives the UK to its former colonies associated in Commonwealth. Along with this traditional bilateral development policy the UK exercises its development policy also on the European level when it tries to influence the European governance. Another level is also the subnational level of the local goverment. Because of the restricted scope of my theses I didn't focus on the local level. Also many players are engaged in the cooperation of the UK and EC development policy.
