V příspěvku jsou prezentovány výsledky lineární elastické lomové mechaniky V-vrubů. Jsou formulovány obecné podmínky stability V-vrubů a diskutována jejich použitelnost. V tomto přístupu je trhlina považována za specielní případ V-vrubu s nulovým úhlem otevření. Na základě získaných výsledků je provedeno srovnání lomového chování V-vrubů a trhlin. Odvozené postupy a získané výsledky mají obecnou platnost a lze je použít při studiu lomového chování obecných singulárních koncentrátorů napětí. The theoretical background of linear elastic fracture mechanics of V-notches is presented. A crack is considered as a special case of the V-notch with zero open angle. Conditions for stability of a general singular stress concentrator are formulated. Based on results obtained a fracture behaviour of notches and cracks is compared.
