Abstract: The formation of Al-rich phase dominates the microstructural changes at the interface of plasma sprayed protective coatings on Ni-based substrates during long term annealing at 1173 and 1273 K. Other changes in coating microstructure were detected and quantified by means of analytical electron microscopy.
