Cieľom práce je zistiť, či kroky podniknuté medzinárodnými organizáciami pod vedením Svetovej zdravotníckej organizácie prispeli k zmierneniu humanitárnych dopadov epidémie eboly v Západnej Afrike prebiehajúcej v rokoch 2014 - 2016. Pozornosť bude venovaná najvýznamnejším aktérom a špecifickým nástrojom využívaných v riešení epidémií na medzinárodnej úrovni a v troch najviac zasiahnutých afrických krajinách. Cílem práce je zjistit, jestli kroky podniknuté mezinárodními organizacemi pod vedením Mezinárodní zdravotnické organizace přispěly ke zmírnění humanitárních dopadů epidemie eboly v Západní Africe probíhající v letech 2014 - 2016. Pozornost bude věnována nejvýznamnějším aktérům a specifickým nástrojům využívaných v řešení epidemií na mezinárodní úrovni a ve třech nejvíce zasáhnutých afrických zemích. The aim of this work is to determine whether the steps taken by international organisations under the leadership of the World Health Organisation helped to alleviate humanitarian consequences of the West African Ebola epidemic that took place in 2014 - 2016. This work further discusses the role of the most significant actors and specific tools used to provide help in epidemics on the international level and in the three most affected countries.
