This contribution deals with the numerical solution of bipolar barotropic non-Newtonian fluids by the combined finite volume-finite element method. The continuity equation is discretized by the first order finite volume method using dual finite volumes. For numerical flux the Vijayasundaram method is used. The momentum equations are discretized by the finite element method using the piecewise linear triangular elements.
