Abstract: Mechanics of fluids is a part of continuum mechanics. Its subject is a macroscopic description of fluid motion. Other points of view are possible as statistical fluid mechanics approach or kinetic approach which is most respecting the corpuscular character of the matter. On macroscopic scale, the last approach does not seem to be practical because of the huge number of objects (molecules) to be described and of course a great number of (e.g. initial) data to be specified.
