Disertační práce se zabývá uplatněním přírodních prvků, struktur a souborů v obrazu města. Téma je na pomezí urbanismu, urbanistické kompozice, krajinářství, estetiky a ochrany krajiny. Poslední dobou je toto téma často zmiňováno v souvislosti s identifikací a hodnocením krajinného rázu. Charakter krajiny výrazně ovlivňuje urbanistickou strukturu města -- jeho založení, funkční uspořádání; odráží se i v prostorové skladbě a urbanistické kompozici. Obdobně jako se dá analyzovat půdorys města, jeho vývoj, dochovanost, proměnlivost apod., lze z různých pohledů rozebrat i vizuální stránku města. Obraz krajiny řeší řada metodik (Bukáček a Matějka, 1999; Hexner, 2007; Löw a Míchal, 2003; Salašová, 1999; Vorel a Kupka, 2011) a disertačních prací (Mroščáková, 2008; Skřivanová, 2014), ovšem obvykle se zaměřují čistě na krajinu nebo na uplatnění siluety města v okolní krajině. Tato práce je zaměřena na uplatnění přírodních prvků ve městě. Nevěnuje se tedy městu v krajině, ale krajině ve městě. Analyzuje obraz města z pohledu poměru zastoupení přírodní a urbánní složky a navazuje na metodiku Michala Hexnera (2007) -- hodnotí obraz města s ohledem na vztah urbánní struktury a přírodních prvků z hlediska jejich vizuálního projevu a vizuální atraktivity. Závěry pak definují souvislost mezi uplatněním přírodních prvků v obrazu města a jeho pozitivním přijímáním, vnímáním a hodnocením. Hlavní náplní této práce je posouzení estetického a kompozičního vztahu přírodních prvků uvnitř sídla. PhD thesis deals with the impact of natural elements and structures in the image of the city. Topic is on the edge of urbanism, urban composition, aesthetics and landscape protection. This topic is often mentioned in relation with the identification and evaluation of landscape character. Landscape character significantly affects the urban structure of a city -- foundation of the city and functional layout; It is also reflected in the spatial and urban composition. Image of the city can be analyzed from different perspectives, just as it is possible to analyze the urban composition. Image of the city is solved by number of methodologies and PhD theses, although there are rather focused on the landscape or the town silhouette in surrounding landscape. This PhD thesis is focused on natural elements and structures in the city. So it is not about a city in a surrounding landscape but about townscape. It analyzes the image of the city and follows the methodology of Michael Hexner -- it evaluates the image of the city with regard to relationship of urban structures and natural elements with respect to their visual expression and visual appeal. Conclusions of the work define a relationship between the application of natural elements in the image of the city and its positive acceptance, perception and evaluation. The thesis is mainly focused on assessment of an aesthetic and compositional relationship of natural elements inside the city.
