Tato bakalářská práce je věnována seniorům, procesu stárnutí a změnám jak psychickým, biologickým i sociálním, které seniory provázejí. Dále se zabývá jejich životem i možnostmi dalšího kvalitního prožívání seniorského věku v souvislosti se službami poskytovanými Obvodním ústavem sociálně-zdravotnických služeb Praha 8. Zjišťuje na základě průzkumného šetření využívání jednotlivých služeb dle věku, pohlaví, vzdělání a také způsobu bydlení. V neposlední řadě pak zobrazuje vůli a motivaci seniorů k dalšímu aktivnímu prožívání stáří. V praktické části je vyjádřeno, na základě dotazníkového šetření, jakých služeb, v jakém množství senioři využívají a v jakém rozložení podle sociálních podmínek, mírou vzdělání a pohlavím. Rovněž klade důraz na touhu seniorů být stále aktivní. This Bachelor thesis deals with elderly care and aging process as well as with psychological, biological and social changes which accompany pensioners. The thesis also focuses on senior life and further possibilities to improve the quality of life in connection with the services provided by Health Care and Social Services Department in Prague 8. The department provides the services based on exploratory research of individual services and their use according to age, sex, education and type of housing. The thesis indicates senior will and motivation to active spending time in old age. The practical part shows the amount and the types of used services according to social, educational and gender standards based on a survey. It depicts senior determination to live active life too.
