This bachelor thesis is about David Oistrach, great violin virtuoso born in the beginning of 20th century and his achievements for Soviet violin music in 20th century. In this thesis I am writing about his life as well as about how the author was introduced to the interpreter of his music and their mutual influence, which in many cases has positive impact on the creation of his composition, which wouldn’t come into being if it wasn’t for David Oistrach. Included are also his record, some from concerts where David Oistrach had his openings. Thanks to his concerts these compositions became world-known and played.
