Abstract: Paper is concerned with procedures to improve the accuracy of evaluations of the displacement thickness, the momentum thickness and the skin friction from measured mean velocity profiles, namely with regard to transitional boundary layers and to velocity profiles suffering from the lack of points in the immediate vicinity of the wall.
