Bakalářská práce se bude věnovat interpretaci knihy Vítězslava Nezvala Valérie a týden divů a její filmové adaptace, jejímž režisérem byl Jaromil Jireš. Cílem bakalářské práce je komparovat dílčí motivy a témata a zvažovat jejich uplatnění při interpretaci knihy a její filmové verze. Podstatnými se v této souvislosti zdají být zejména motivy postavy a prostoru. Proto se metodologické kapitoly soustředily zejména na tyto dílčí aspekty. Neméně důležitým svorníkem obou narativů se také zdá být rezonance surrealistické poetiky odkazující i k tzv. československé nové vlně, k níž bývá Jirešova adaptace z roku 1970 ještě také vztahována. The Bachelor's thesis deals with the interpretation of Vítězslav Nezval's book "Valérie a týden divů" and its film adaptation, which was directed by Jaromil Jireš. The aim of the thesis is to compare the individual themes and topics and consider their use in the interpretation of the book and its film adaptation. In this respect, the themes of characters and space seem particularly substantial. Therefore, the methodological chapters focus mainly on these individual aspects. Equally important seems to be the common feature of both narratives, that is, the resonance of surrealistic poetry which refers to the Czechoslovak New Wave, in which Jireš's 1970 film adaptation is also included.
