Diplomová práce se soustředí na analýzu Jiráskových raných próz z hlediska žánrového prolínání romantických a realistických prvků a pokusí se přispět k hlubšímu poznání autorových tvůrčích počátků na přelomu 70. a 80. let minulého století. Jirásek se stal prototypem českého kritického realismu s historickými látkami, přesto se v jeho tvorbě až do 80. let udržují romantické kompoziční postupy a motivické okruhy. Právě tyto romantické aspekty z Jiráska učinily "lidového" spisovatele a paradoxně přispěly k jeho celonárodní oblibě. Práce zároveň zachytí recepční osudy vybraných děl, resp. hodnocení dobové kritiky a též se zaměří na reflexi jeho odrazu v tehdejší korespondenci. This diploma thesis focuses on analysis of Jirasek´s early prose from the point of view of genre overlap of romantic and realist elements. One of the aims of this thesis is to contribute to deeper knowledge about author´s creative beginnings at the turn of the 70s and 80s in the last century. Even though Jirasek became a prototype of Czech critical realism with historical topics, romantic compositional techniques and thematic spheres were still present in his works up to 80s. These romantic aspects contributed to the fact that Jirasek became a "folk" writer and paradoxically contributed to his nationwide popularity. This thesis also reflects reception destinies of chosen works, or more precisely evaluation of criticism of that period and also focuses on reflection of his correspondence.
