Práce se zabývá překladem textů Boba Dylana do češtiny. Jádrem práce je rozbor a srovnání překladů českých překladatelů, přičemž se soustředí především na texty Michaela Žantovského. Práce zkoumá, do jaké míry se překladatelům podařilo zachovat funkční rysy originálních textů. Zvláštní důraz je přitom kladen hlavně na vztah mezi sémantickou přesností a "zdařilostí" překladu. Rozboru předchází teoretická část, v níž je uveden Dylanův stručný životopis a přehled všech dostupných českých překladů textů Boba Dylana. The topic of the present paper is translation of Bob Dylan's lyrics into Czech. The paper focuses on the analysis and comparison of translations from Czech translators, especially those of Michael Žantovský. The paper examines the extent to which the functional characteristics of the originals have been maintained in the various Czech translations. Special attention is given to the relation between semantic accuracy and "successful" translations. Preceding the analyses is the theoretical part, which include brief Dylan's biography and the overview of all available Czech translations of Bob Dylan's lyrics.
