Mineralogicko-chemický průzkum povrchových vrstev pískovcové sochy byl zaměřen na projevy zvětrávání v prostředí městské atmosféry a vedl k diskusi o možných procesech v minulosti i vlivem dřívějších restaurátorských zásahů. Determined mineralogical and chemical composition of the surface layers of sandstone sculptures was interpreted as the result of the weathering processes in the past. The influence of atmospherical pollution and previous restoration and conservation of the stone was discussed.
