Abstract: Bifunctional electrocatalysts based on a composite carbon-MnO2 and doped with various metal salts were preparedand tested as cathode materials for alkaline fuel cells.In general, the doping by transition metals (Cr,Ni)enhanced the catalytic activity and slightly lowered thecapacity for the insertion of hydrogen.
