Česká demokratická tradice, zakotvená v 19. století, byla rozvíjena vědomě částí české inteligence a v intensivní komunikaci s českou veřejností, což mělo pozitivní výsledky jak na úroveň politické kultury národa tak na úroveň politické demokracie za první Československé republiky. Vzhledem k tomu, že kontinuita pěstování relevantních hodnot byla několikrát brutálně přerušena nedemokratickými tlaky zvenčí, její původní zdroje i metody působení jsou dosud velmi cennou, ale podceňovanou tradicí. Czech democratic tradition rooted in the 19th century, was intentionally cultivated since the 19th century by the Czech intellectuals, which resulted in deep rooted democratic political culture as well as an admirable level of political democracy during the first Czechoslovak Republic. Since the continuation of relevant "education" was several times brutally interrupted from outside by undemocratic and expantionist forces, it is necessary to consider the original sources of democratic values and methods of their cultivation as very relevant to the present.
