SOFIA je hybridní laserový řetězec, ve kterém laserový paprsek generovaný pevnolátkovým oscilátorem je následně zesílen v plynném prostředí jódových fptpdisociačních zesilovačů. Projekt SOFIA je realizován z důvodu urychlení modernizace laserového systému PALS (Prague Asterix Laser System) metodou OPCPA (Optical Parametric Chirped Pulse Amplification). SOFIA is a hybrid laser chain where the laser beam generated in a solid state oscillator is amplified in a gas medium of iodine photodissociation amplifiers.SOFIA project is realized to speed up the modernization of the laser system PALS by the OPCPA method.
