Uvedení základů teorie soustružení, procesu dělení třísky, vzniku řezných sil a popis explicitní metody konečných prvků. Za těchto poznatků byla provedena simulace za-pichování oceli ČSN 12 050.3 pro tři různé nástroje, zjednodušena pomocí modelu or-togonálního obrábění. Dále bylo simulováno upichování oceli ČSN 15 260.7 s pomocí 3D modelu VBD. Výsledky těchto simulací byly následně porovnány s výsledky expe-rimentálními, byla určena vhodnost metody konečných prvků pro simulaci a budoucí doporučení pro dosažení přesnějších výsledků. The introduction to turning basics, chip separation process, cutting force generation and description of the finite element method. With this knowledge, a cutting simula-tion of AISI 1045 steel was done for 3 different rake angles, which was simplified by using an orthogonal machining model. The next simulation was cutting of AISI 6150 steel with the use of a 3D model of the grooving insert. The results of these simulations were then compared to the experimental results, and feasibility of finite element method was determined together with future recommendations for acquiring more pre-cise results.
