Táto štúdia prezentuje výskum vzťahov medzi vyhlásením akvizície, existenciou pozitívnych neobvyklých príjmov z akcií týchto spoločností a efektivitou trhu v Nemecku, Francúzsku a Veľkej Británii. Vzorka transakcií bola od Januára 2010 do Decembra 2015. Táto práca používa metodiku event study, kde boli analyzované kumulatívne priemerné neobvyklé príjmy (CAAR) z akcií cieľových a kupujúcich spoločností. Naprieč všetkými trhmi, ceny akcií cieľových podnikov zaznamenali pozitívne CAAR, ktoré je štatisticky významne odlišné od nuly v deň vyhlásenia. Na rozdiel od cieľových podnikov, kupujúce podniky nevykazovali štatisticky významné CAAR na všetkých trhoch. Sekundárny cieľ práce bol analyzovať efektivitu trhu použitím dát o CAAR z event study. Dospelo sa k záveru, že analyzované trhy vykazujú znaky stredne silnej formy efektívnych trhov s potenciálne identifikovanými prípadmi insider tradingu. Tato studie prezentuje výzkum vztahů mezi vyhlášením akvizice, existencí pozitivních neobvyklých příjmů z akcií těchto společností a efektivitou trhu v Německu, Francouzsku a Velké Británii. Vzorek transakcí byl vzat od ledna 2010 do prosince 2015. Tato práce využívá metodiku event study, kde byly analyzovány kumulativní průměrné neobvyklé příjmy (CAAR) z akcií cílových a kupujících společností. Napříč všemi trhy, ceny akcií cílových podniků zaznamenali pozitivní CAAR, které je statisticky významně odlišné od nuly v den vyhlášení. Na rozdíl od cílových podniků, kupující podniky nevykazovali statisticky významné CAAR na všech trzích. Sekundární cíl práce byl analyzovat efektivitu trhu použitím dat o CAAR z event study. Dospělo se k závěru, že analyzované trhy vykazují znaky středně silné formy efektivních trhů s potenciálně identifikovanými případy insider tradingu. This paper presents an investigation into the relationship between the announcement of acquisitions, the existence of positive abnormal return for shares of these firms and market efficiency in Germany, France and Great Britain. The sample of transactions ranged from January 2010 to December 2015. This thesis has used the event study methodology where the Cumulative Average Abnormal Returns (CAAR) of the target and bidder firm's stock prices in different event windows have been analysed. Across all the markets, target firm's stock price yields positive CAAR that is significantly different from zero on the day of the announcement. Unlike the target firms, bidder firms do not show statistically significant CAAR for all analysed markets. The second goal was to analyse market efficiency using CAAR data from the event study. It was concluded that the analysed markets behave in a semi-strong form of market efficiency with potential cases of insider trading identified.
