Diplomová práce se zabývá ekonomikou Itálie a trendy v cestovním ruchu. Cílem práce je zhodnocení vývoje ekonomiky na základě analýzy klíčových ekonomických ukazatelů společně se zhodnocením situace a následným určením trendů v oblasti cestovního ruchu. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První z nich patří teoretickému vymezení problematiky, ve druhé kapitole se pak autor věnuje analýze italské ekonomiky a jejímu postavení na mezinárodní scéně. Třetí kapitola se zabývá analýzou cestovního ruchu, jeho významem pro ekonomiku země či postavením na mezinárodním trhu cestovního ruchu. Na konci kapitoly jsou pak shrnuty trendy panující v oblasti cestovního ruchu. Poslední kapitola je věnována světové výstavě Expo, jež se v roce 2015 uskutečnila v Miláně. The diploma thesis deals with the economy of Italy and trends in tourism. The aim is to evaluate the development of the economy based on the analysis of key economic indicators, together with the evaluation of the tourism situation, which is followed by the identification of trends in tourism. The work is divided into four chapters. The first chapter provides a theoretical introduction to the topic of the thesis, while in the second chapter the author analyzes the Italian economy and its position on the international scene. The third chapter analyzes the tourism industry, its importance for the economy of the country, and its position in the international tourism market. The trends prevailing in the field of tourism are summarized at the end of the chapter. The last chapter is devoted to the World Expo, which took place in Milan in 2015.
