Numerickou simulací (software NUMECA) řešeno proudění vodní páry v radiální rotorové mříži s 10% mezerou na konci lopatky. Řešení bylo zaměřeno na vliv sekundárního proudění a na vliv proudu přetékajícího mezerou, při 4 tloušťkách mezní vrstvy v nabíhajícím proudu (0, 10%, 30% a 50% výšky kanálu). Větší tloušťka snižuje aerodynamické zatížení lopatky, ale snižuje také vliv mezery a ztráty vlivem sekundárního proudění 2.druhu. Using numerical simulation (software NUMECA) flow in a radial inflow turbine rotor cascade with a 10% tip gap has been solved. Effects of secondary flows and flow through the tip gap on the flow structure has been investigated at 4 boundary layer thicknesses in the oncoming stream (0, 10%, 30%, 50% of the blade length). Greater boundary layer thickness decreases the aerodynamic load as well as effect of the tip gap, and secondary flows of the 2nd kind.
