Tématem bakalářské práce je současný stav problematiky genderové segregace v odvětví vědy a výzkumu v České republice. První část práce je zaměřena na historický kontext problematiky, vysvětlení nejdůležitějších pojmů spojených s genderovou segregací, financování vědy a instituce zabývající se genderovou rovností. Zmíněny jsou zde také nejvýznamnější ženy české i světové vědy a jejich úspěchy. V praktické části je pomocí dotazníkového šetření analyzována současná situace v odvětví vědy z pohledu genderové rovnosti. Po analýze dat získaných během výzkumu je vidět, že genderová segregace je rozšířeným problémem ve všech oblastech české vědy, hlavně pak v kontextu možností kariérního postupu na vedoucí pozice. The topic of this bachelor thesis is the current state of labor market segregation in the field of science and research in the Czech Republic. The first part focuses on the historical context of the problem, definition of key terms associated with gender segregation, the funding of science and institutions dealing with gender equality. This part also lists some of the most important women scientists from the Czech republic and rest of the world alike and their contributions to science. The second part focuses on analysis of the current situation in the science sector from the perspective of gender equality using data collected from the survey. The data analysis shows gender segregation in the science sector to be a widespread problem in all its subtypes, mainly in the context of career advancement to managerial positions.
