Kloubní náhrady se díky tření ohřívají více než klouby přirozené. Článek obsahuje přehled o ohřevu kloubních náhrad při tření in vitro a in vivo. Jsou studovány termické jevy při tření femorální (vitalium) a tibiální (UHMWPE) komponenty náhrady kolenního kloubu v závislosti na lubrikaci, na velikosti zatížení, na rychlosti pohybu a na velikosti poškození UHMWPE. Total joint replacements heat up due to friction more then natural joints. The paper contains review of frictional heating of total joint replacements in vitro and in vivo. Thermal effects during friciton of femoral (vitalium) and tibial (UHMWPE) components of the knee joint replacement with the physiological solution, HA, bovine serum lubrication depending on the load, frequence and damage of UHMWPE are studied.
