Diplomová práce se zabývá charakteristikou investičního prostředí Irska a České republiky. V kontextu vývoje posledních několika desítek let hodnotí především současný stav. Analýza investičního prostředí je doplněna o empirickou analýzu dat přílivu přímých zahraničních investic do obou států. Teoretická část vymezuje základní charakteristiky přímých zahraničních investic a definuje podle různých přístupů faktory investiční atraktivnosti. Získané poznatky z teoretické i aplikační části jsou následně zhodnoceny. Komparace investičního prostředí sledovaných států umožňuje definovat charakteristické znaky investiční atraktivnosti a zhodnotit vzájemné postavení Irska a České republiky vzhledem k potenciálním investorům. This thesis deals with the characteristics of the investment climate of Ireland and the Czech Republic, in the context of developments over the last few decades mainly assesses the current state. Analysis of the investment environment is complemented by empirical data analysis of FDI inflows into both countries. The theoretical part specifies basic characteristics of foreign direct investment and defines factors of investment attractiveness based on several approaches. The knowledge gained from theoretical and practical part are subsequently evaluated. Comparison of investment environment in the monitored countries allows us to define the characteristics of the investment attractiveness and assess the relative position of Ireland and the Czech Republic due to potential investors.
