Cílem této práce je prokázání či vyvrácení vlivu PZI na konkurenceschopnost české republiky ve srovnání s jejími primárními konkurenty, státy Evropské unie a členy OECD. Práce je rozdělena do dvou sekcí. Sekce teoretická pokládá nutné teoretické základy a objasňuje význam sledovaných indikátorů a dopady PZI na hostitelskou ekonomiku. Sekce praktická je dále dělena na dvě subsekce věnující se ekonometrické analýze vybraných kvantitativních ukazatelů a analýze ukazatelů kvalitativních. Ověřování jejich závislosti na PZI je řešeno modelem lineární regrese. Výsledky této práce by měly sloužit jako argument pro navýšení či omezení podpory PZI směřujících do České republiky. The aim of this work is to prove or refute the impact of FDI on the competitiveness of the Czech Republic compared to its primary competitors, the countries of the European Union and the OECD. The work is divided into two sections. The theoretical section lays the necessary groundwork and explains the importance of the observed indicators and the impact of FDI on the host economy. The practical section is further divided into two subsections dedicated to an econometric analysis of the selected quantitative and qualitative indicators respectively. Their dependence on FDI is assessed using linear regression model. The results of this work should serve as an argument for the increase or limitation of the promotion of FDI inflows into the Czech Republic.
