Tato práce se bude, jak již název napovídá, zabývat grafickým frameworkem JavaFX 8 a jeho potenciálem pro využití ve výuce. Nejdříve se bude zabývat tím, co grafický framework JavaFX 8 je. Vysvětlí základní prin-cipy, pohovoří o jeho přednostech, architektuře a významných rozdílech v práci s ním opro-ti práci s knihovnou Swing. Po předání základního povědomí o frameworku JavaFX 8 práce pokračuje převodem jed-notlivých aplikací z prostředí výuky VŠE pod framework JavaFX 8, ve snaze demonstrovat předem popsané vlastnosti. Začíná jednoduchou aplikací Zipper, pokračuje popisem převo-du semestrální práce Adventura a končí převodem knihovny Canvas. V závěru práce shrnuje nabyté poznatky, posuzuje úspěšnost jednotlivých převodů a zod-povídá otázku, jestli je lepší aplikaci převádět nebo tvořit aplikaci novou, a vysvětluje proč by se měla výuka na VŠE vyvíjet tímto směrem. The thesis as the name suggests approaches the topic of graphical framework JavaFX 8 and its potential use in education. First off it introduces the JavaFX 8 framework as a whole. It explains the basic principles and comments on various advantages, architecture and important differences in working approach compared to using Swing library. After communicating the basics of the framework JavaFX 8, thesis proceeds to convert the selected applications used in education at VŠE in effort to demonstrate previously ex-plained attributes of the framework. It starts off with a simple Zipper application, continues explaining the attributes on semester assignment Adventura and concludes with Canvas library. Work is finished by summing up all the knowledge gained through the conversion efforts. It also evaluates the level of achieved success, answers whether it is better to convert an application or simply write a new one from scratch, and explains why the programming education at VŠE should develop in this direction.
