Tato práce má dva dílčí cíle. Prvním je nastínit podobu ekonomické diplomacie České republiky, respektive Československa, v průběhu 20. století až po stav nynější. Mou snahou bylo především obhájit na základě získaných informací a dat názor, že i přes značně deliberalizovaný trh od počátku 50. let v tomto státě existovalo institucionální zázemí pro výzkumné a analytické aktivity, země disponovala kolektivem odborníků na danou problematiku a označení této subkategorie diplomacie jako výdobytku posledních let je chybné. V druhé půli jsem se zaměřil důrazněji na agenturu CzechTrade jakožto zástupce proexportní podpory. Zprvu je tato společnost krátce charakterizována, v poslední kapitole je její činnost analyzována na exportně významných trzích. Za tyto trhy byly zvoleny země uskupení BRICs, ačkoliv v rámci omezeného rozsahu je důkladnější rozbor věnován dvěma ze zemí, a to Brazílii a Indii. Důvodem pro můj výběr je nesmírný potenciál, který obecně země BRICs přinášejí, pro užší selekci pak možné menší povědomí o brazilském a indickém trhu ve srovnání s trhem čínským a ruským. Pro jednotlivé ekonomiky jsou zpracovány krátké charakteristiky, je definována podoba vzájemného obchodu včetně její komoditní struktury a samozřejmě také konkrétní projekty, služby a produkty, prostřednictvím kterých agentura na daném trhu operuje. Na závěr je shrnut význam činnosti agentury na jednotlivých trzích z hlediska náročnosti vstupu a působení na daném trhu. There are two purposes of this bachelor's thesis. The first one is to outline the shape of economic diplomacy of the Czech republic, more precisely Czechoslovakia, during the 20th century to the present state. On the grounds of gained data and information I intended mainly to defend the opinion that despite significantly deliberalized market since the early 50s there was institutional support for research and analytical activities, this country had a team of experts in the field and it is wrong marking this subcategory of diplomacy as an activity arisen recently. In the second half I focus more strongly on the CzechTrade agency as a representative of trade promotion. Initially, the company is briefly characterized, in the last chapter, its activities in key export markets are analyzed. BRICs countries were selected as examples of these markets, however, in-depth analysis is dedicated only to two of the countries, namely Brazil and India, because of limited range. The reason for my choice is enormous potential BRICs generally evince, the short-selection is influenced by less awareness of Brazilian and Indian markets compared to Chinese and Russian markets. Individual economies are defined by brief characteristics, form of mutual trade including its commodity structure as well as projects and services through which CzechTrade operates in a specific market. At the very end, the impact of agency's activities in these countries is summarized in terms of entering and doing business in the market.
