Práce se zabývá nepřímou správou v koloniální Africe, jmenovitě tímto typem správy domorodého obyvatelstva v britských afrických koloniích. Práce se zaměřuje na hledání souvislostí mezi touto formou koloniální správy a postkoloniálním vývojem vybraných britských kolonií. Cílem je stanovit, jaký vliv měla nepřímá správa na postkoloniální vývoj v těchto zemích. K tomuto účelu používá práce regresní analýzy a studia odborné literatury. Závěrem práce je konstatování negativního působení nepřímé správy na postkoloniální vývoj a nastínění dalších faktorů, které tento vliv posilují nebo naopak oslabují. The thesis deals with an indirect rule in colonial Africa, namely with this type of management of the indigenous population in British African colonies. The thesis focuses on finding connections between this form of colonial management and post-colonial development of selected British colonies. The main goal is to determine what effect had the indirect rule on postcolonial development in these countries. For this purpose, the thesis uses regression analysis and study of scholarly literature. The thesis concludes that the indirect rule has negative effect on post-colonial development and outlines other factors that could either strengthen or weaken this effect.
