Tato práce pojednává o sociálních sítích a jejich vlivu na mladé Vietnamce v českém prostředí. Autorka popisuje vznik sociálních sítí, jejich vliv a také se věnuje té nejznámější sítí - Facebooku. Dále se zabývá problematikou Vietnamců v České republice, popisuje se Vietnam a také konfucianismus jakožto směr ovlivňující vietnamskou mentalitu a kulturu, dále se také zabývá tím, jak se Vietnamci dostali do české republiky, jaká pro ně byla adaptace a v jakých vlnách se sem Vietnamci dostali. Také píše o mladých Vietnamcích, kteří se v České republice narodili, nebo sem přicestovali v jejich raném dětství. V praktické části, vede autorka rozhovory s respondenty a na dané téma jim klade otázky. Cílem rozhovorů a celého výzkumného projektu bylo, potvrdit či vyvrátit hypotézu, že sociální sítě mají podobný vliv na mladé lidi jak z Česka tak i Vietnamu žijící v České republice. V závěru autorka shrnuje všechny své poznatky a také potvrzuje svojí prvotní domněnku a na základě odpovědí respondentů tak potvrzuje již zmíněnou hypotézu This thesis discusses the social media and its impact on the Vietnamese youth living in the Czech surrounding. Firstly, the author mainly deals with the topic of social media and their impact, especially the most popular one -Facebook. Secondly, she deals with the issue of Vietnamese living in the Czech republic and not to forget Confucianism, which has a tremendous influence on Vietnamese culture and mentality. Furthermore, she analyses the first generation of Vietnamese and their adaptation into the Czech culture, then second generation - young Vietnamese who were born in the Czech republic or moved here in their early ages. In the practical part the author examines the personal experiences both of the first and second generation Vietnamese living in the Czech republic based on the interviews. The author aimed to either confirm or disprove her theory of social media having a similar impact on the youngs as from the Czech republic, so from Vietnam. In the conclusion of this thesis, all findings are summed up and the author confirms her original assumption based on the outcomes from the interviews the theory, mentioned above is confirmed.
