This Bachelor thesis is aimed to provide a theoretical framework for the establishment of the weapons of mass destruction free-zone in the Middle East, while focusing on three aspects. The first one is to identify all the components that the potential WMD Free-zone will consist of, the second one is an analysis of core obstacles, which lay in the way of thereof and which must be overcome. The third one is to evaluate progress that has been recently accomplished within the region by both international and regional actors. On top of that, one of the chapters is dedicated to the Iranian nuclear program, which is considered to be one of the obstacles. Moreover, the Iranian case serves to better understand the state's nuclear ambitions, to get an insight of how the state has developed its nuclear program and to assess an ultimate purpose of the program. Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je poskytnúť teoretický koncept pre vytvorenie zóny bez zbraní hromadného ničenia na Blízkom východe, pričom táto práca skúma tri hlavné roviny. Prvá z nich si kladie za cieľ identifikovať všetky komponenty, ktoré by mali sa mali stať súčasťou danej zóny, zatiaľ čo druhá tvorí analýzu prekážok, ktoré je nutné prekonať, aby bolo možné dosiahnuť cieľ. Tretia sa zaoberá zhodnotením krokov regionálnych ako aj medzinárodných subjektov, ktoré prispeli k progresu vytvorenia danej zóny na Blízkom východe. Naviac jedna z kapitol sa venuje hlbšiemu skúmaniu práve iránskeho nukleárneho programu, ktorý je považovaný za jednu z hlavných prekážok vytvorenia zóny. Táto kapitola taktiež zahrňuje analýzu jadrových ambícií štátu, vývoj nukleárneho programu a posudzuje účel daného programu.
