Studenti doktorských studijních programů jsou nedílnou součástí systému terciárního vzdělávání. Podpora doktorských studijních programů i studentů samotných je velmi důležitá, neboť jsou to právě oni, kdo se bude v budoucnu podílet na výzkumných projektech a přispívat tak k rozvoji společnosti. Valná většina stipendií, která jsou k dispozici studentům doktorských studijních programů, pochází z veřejných zdrojů. Je tedy na místě položit si otázku, zda jsou stipendia dostačující k financování studia, zda existují rozdíly v jejich výši v závislosti např. na pohlaví či oboru studia, a zda existují regionální rozdíly v celkovém příjmu studentů. Diplomová práce si klade za cíl na tyto otázky odpovědět, a to za použití statistických metod aplikovaných na výsledky výběrového šetření DOKTORANDI 2014. Ph.D. students are an integral part of the tertiary education system. Encouragement for doctoral programs and their students is very important because they are the ones who will participate in research projects in the future and they will contribute to society as a whole. The majority of scholarships for Ph.D. students comes from public sources. An important question to be asked is whether the scholarships are sufficient to finance Ph.D. studies and whether there are differences in the amount depending on gender, field of study or region. This thesis aims to answer these questions by applying statistical methods to the results of the survey DOKTORANDI 2014.
