Diplomová práce se zabývá ekonomikou Nového Zélandu a postavením této země na mezinárodním trhu cestovního ruchu. Cílem práce je provedení analýzy makroekonomických ukazatelů ekonomiky a vyhodnocení postavení Nového Zélandu v rámci trhu mezinárodního cestovního ruchu současně se zhodnocením konkurenceschopnosti země v obou oblastech. Nejprve je v práci zhodnocena ekonomická situace Nového Zélandu a jeho konkurenceschopnost. Je zde provedena i komparace vybraných makroekonomických ukazatelů Nového Zélandu s vybranými zeměmi regionu Asie a Pacifik. Poté se práce zaměřuje na cestovní ruch Nového Zélandu, jeho charakteristiku, hlavní destinace, atraktivity a nejnovější statistiky společně se zhodnocením konkurenceschopnosti a postavení na mezinárodním trhu cestovního ruchu. Na závěr práce popisuje problematické oblasti a aktuální politiky cestovního ruchu Nového Zélandu a zmiňuje jeho možný budoucí vývoj. Zjištěné poznatky jsou pak prezentovány ve SWOT analýze. The diploma thesis deals with New Zealand's economy and position in the international tourism market. The aim of the thesis is to analyse macroeconomic indicators and evaluate position of New Zealand in the international tourism market along with assessment of competitiveness in both areas. Firstly, the thesis evaluates economic situation of New Zealand and its competitiveness. A comparative analysis of selected macroeconomic indicators with chosen countries from the region Asia and Pacific is also provided. Secondly, the thesis focuses on tourism in New Zealand, its characteristics, main destinations, attractions and the latest statistics along with the evaluation of competitiveness and position in the international tourism market. Finally, the thesis describes problematic areas and current policies of tourism in New Zealand, and mentions its possible future development. The findings are presented in SWOT analysis.
