Cílem bakalářské práce na téma "Význam a fungování servisních (business) center pro logistické společnosti" je nastínit důvody, které vedou logistické společnosti k zakládání takových center a jejich fungování. Teoretická část práce popisuje to, co vlastně pojem logistika znamená, jaké má funkce a jaké aktivity do ní spadají. Zabývá se také stránkou lidských zdrojů a některých témat z oblasti informačních technologií. Praktická část pak navazuje na teoretickou a detailně rozvíjí, jaké aktivity se obvykle servisních center týkají, jaké jsou pro ně vhodné, důvody pro otvírání center a dále se zabývá nastavováním procesů a zhodnocením výhod a nevýhod. Lidské zdroje hrají v servisních centrech velkou roli, a proto je v praktické části také popisováno, jak je potřeba zaměstnancům přistupovat, motivovat je a jaké to s sebou nese problémy. Závěrem je pak vyhodnoceno, zda a proč se logistickým společnostem vyplatí taková centra mít a jsou zmíněna i některá doporučení. The target of the Bachelor thesis called "The importance and functioning of Service (Business) Centres for Logistics Companies", is to bring up reasons that lead Logistics companies to set up such centres and to describe their function. The Theoretical part describes what actually Logistics means and what functions and activities fall under this term. It also deals with Human Resources and some common IT topics. The Practical part then builds on the Theoretical and describes in detail what activities are usually handled in Business centres, which ones are ideal for them, reasons for opening of these centres and setting up of the processes needed for smooth operations. It also rates all advantages and disadvantages of Business centres. A major part in Business centres is played by the Human resources, which means that the Practical part describes what motivates the employees, what the approach should be towards them and what are the problems that HR needs to tackle on daily basis. In the end, the Thesis wants to come to a conclusion, whether or not it is viable for Logistics companies to set up such centres and also gives some practical recommendations.
