The influence and representation of interest on the European level are becoming more important for companies. Even though lobbying is very often viewed as negative process, it is possible to look at it as a tool of coordination of interests. The aim is to show overview of economics schools dealing with lobbying and interest representation and to describe the possibilities for lobbying in the European institutional environment. The lobbying process in its variety of levels will be shown on the case study of the Shift2Rail JU. It clarifies that the professional association has the highest potential to widen their influence in preparatory phase of the process because of their knowledge of the European environment. The hypothesis assuming, that the participants would consider the process as complicated and bureaucratic, has shown to be incorrect. In contrary, they evaluate it as effective. Vliv a reprezentace zájmů na evropském poli se pro firmy v dnešní době stávají stále důležitější. Ačkoliv je na lobbismus velmi často pohlíženo jako na negativní a neznámý proces, je možné ho sledovat i jako nástroj koordinace zájmů. Cílem je podat přehled o ekonomických teoriích věnujících se lobbismu a reprezentaci zájmů a vymezit možnosti pro lobbování v evropském institucionálním prostředí. Na projektu z praxe je zobrazen průběh celého lobbistického procesu v jeho různých úrovních. V případové studii Shift2Rail JU je doloženo, že největší prostor pro rozšíření vlivu v přípravné fázi procesu mají profesionální asociace, které se dobře orientují v evropském prostředí. Hypotéza, že účastníci hodnotí proces jako příliš složitý a byrokratický, se nepotvrdila, naopak jej hodnotí jako efektivní.
