Cílem této práce je potvrdit nebo vyvrátit hypotézu, že všechny úřední jazyky EU nejsou používány v rámci institucí a jejich počet je značně redukován. V této práci pak analyzujeme, jaká jazyková a jiná kritéria jsou kladena na potenciální uchazeče o zaměstnání v institucích EU. Předkládaná práce je rozdělena na dvě části teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části autorka popíše institucionální systém EU společně se stálými regionálními zastoupeními ČR při EU, dále pak jazykový systém EU a rozdělení jazyků na úřední, autentické a pracovní, a v poslední kapitole první části se zaměříme na samotný výběr zaměstnanců na pozice v institucích EU a na stálých regionálních zastoupeních. Na teoretickou část pak navážeme částí praktickou, která je založena na dvou typech dotazníků, z nichž je vypracována případová studie, jež se zaměřuje na pracovníky stálých regionálních zastoupení ČR při EU a jejich jazykové a jiné kompetence potřebné k výkonu této práce. The goal of this work is to confirm or disprove the hypothesis that all official languages of the EU are not being used within the EU institutions and the number of used languages is reduced significantly. We will also find out languages and other criteria which are required from potential applicants for a job in the EU institutions and in the regional representations. This work is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the author describes the institutional system of EU and Permanent Regional Representations of the Czech Republic to the European Union. Moreover we will focuses on the division of languages into 3 groups official, authentic and working languages. And the last chapter is dedicated to the recrutement of employees to the EU institutions. The practical part will follow the theoretical one with a case study based on two types of questionnaires concerning workers of Permanent Regional Representations of the Czech Republic to the EU and their linguistic and other qualifications required for this job.
