Tématem této bakalářské práce je výstavba Mikulášské třídy v Praze na Starém Městě po demoličních pracích původního Židovského města. Dle asanačního plánu vznikla na Starém Městě dlouhá široká třída, která ideově navazovala na původní záměr propojit Staré Město s levým břehem Vltavy přes Letenskou pláň až k Pražskému hradu. Tento urbanistický zásah přinesl do Prahy fenomén dlouhých širokých bulvárů podle francouzského vzoru. Je tedy nasnadě, že se výstavby účastnili významní pražští architekti té doby. Architektonické průčelí fasád je laděno převážně v duchu historizujících slohů a využívá zde prvky gotiky, renesance, baroka a také secese. Cílem práce je objasnit realizace vybraných činžovních domů a zasadit jejich výtvarné zpracování do širšího kontextu architektury 19. století a dále zmapovat ideové návrhy na pokračování Mikulášské třídy průkopem Letenské pláně. The theme of the bachelor´s thesis is the construction of avenue Mikulášská situated in Prague´s Old Town after the demolition of the original Jewish town. According to redevelopment plan there was built a long broad avenue in Old Town, which ideologically followed the original intent to connect the Old Town with left river bank through plain Letná up to the Prague Castle. This urban intervention brought to Prague phenomen of long wide french style boulevards. It is therefore obvious that the best architects of that time participated in the construction. Architectural front fasades are decorated predominantly in historical styles and uses elements of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Art Nouveau. The aim of the thesis is to clarify the realization of selected apartment buildings and set their visual processing in the wider context of 19th century architecture and also to map the ideological proposals of continuing the avenue Mikulášská by breaking through Letná plain.
