Rešeršní část práce popisuje vnímání smrti ve středověku a raném novověku, seznamuje s termínem právní archeologie a podává přehled o archeologickém a topograficko-historickém stavu poznání tématu v České republice, konkrétněji v jižních Čechách. Dále se práce věnuje nedestruktivní archeologii a jejím výsledkům na vybraných památkách hrdelního práva v jižních Čechách. The part of research describes the perception of death in the Middle Ages and Early modern period. This part also presents the term of legal archeology and gives out the summary about the archeological and historical-topographic situation in the Czech republic, especially in South Bohemia. Furthermore, the thesis pursues in non-destructive archeology and its results in some landmarks of the capital punishment in South Bohemia.
