Práce se zabývá porovnáním teorií konkurence z hlediska Rakouské a Neoklasické školy. Hledá odpověď na otázku, která z uvedených teorií je blíže realitě. Toto srovnání je založeno zejména na přístupu k roli konkurence na utváření rozmanitých tržních struktur, pohledu na roli podnikatele na trhu a významu trhu při šíření informací v ekonomice. Postoje těchto škol k výše zmíněným problémům jsou totiž značně odlišné a dohromady tvoří jádro sporu mezi oběma teoriemi. The paper compares Austrian and Neoclassical approach to the theory of competition. It finds an answer to the question, which of the two compared theories is more realistic. The comparison is based mainly on the approach to the role of competition in the formation of diverse market structures, on the view of the role of entrepreneur on the market and the role of market in the dispersion of information in the economy. The positions of the two schools to the above mentioned problems are very different and form the core of controversy between the two theories.
