Práce analyzuje změny práva Evropské unie v kontextu přijetí Lisabonské smlouvy a posuzuje vliv těchto změn na postavení České republiky jakožto členského státu Unie. Postavení České republiky nepředstavuje pouze zájmy a moc českého suverénního státu, ale také českých občanů. Proto práce zkoumá nejprve dopady přijetí Lisabonské smlouvy na demokracii v Unii, tedy zejména na Evropský parlament a vnitrostátní parlamenty a zaměřuje se také na možnosti zapojení samotných občanů. Z druhého pohledu pak práce posuzuje možné dopady přijetí Lisabonské smlouvy v rámci rozdělení pravomocí a hlasování v Radě - tedy dopady na Českou republiku jakožto suverénní stát. Cílem práce je zhodnotit, jakým způsobem Lisabonská smlouva změní postavení České republiky. The thesis analyses changes introduced by the Treaty of Lisbon and examines the impact of these changes on the Czech republic's position in the European Union. This position does not mean only power and interests of the Czech sovereign state, but it also has to be considered from the citizens' point of view. Therefore the thesis examines the impact of the Treaty on democracy in the Union -- mainly on the European and national parliaments and it also deals with citizens' possibilities to participate in the functioning of the Union. On the other hand, the thesis considers possible impacts in the context of voting in the Council and competence division between Union and member states -- thus the impact on the Czech Republic as a sovereign state. Objective of the thesis is to review how the Lisbon Treaty may or may not be beneficial for the Czech Republic and how it may change Czech position in the Union.
