Bakalářská práce se zabývá popisem a posouzením problematiky ochrany bankovního klienta. Nejprve je opodstatněna nutnost prosté existence institutu ochrany spotřebitele, definovány základní pojmy a popsána struktura současného stavu systému ochrany spotřebitele. Následuje popsání klíčových prvků systému ochrany spotřebitele, a to počínaje regulatorními požadavky na banku, její informační povinností vůči klientovi, přes ochranu osobních údajů a bankovní tajemství až po systém pojištění vkladů, jakožto podstatný prvek bankovní ochrany. Dále je posouzena ochrana spotřebitele při provádění platebního styku a při poskytování spotřebitelského úvěru. V samotném závěru je divergována ochrana spotřebitele na dvě kategorie, a to ochranu aktivní a pasivní. The Bachelor's thesis describes and analyses the protection of a bank client. In the beginning I discuss the necessity of the institution of consumer's protection define the basic terms and describe the structure of the system of consumer's protection. Then, I depict the basic elements of the consumer's protection, the requirements to banks, the duty to provide information, the protection of personal data, the bank secret and the deposit insurance. After these I concentrate on the analysis of the protection in the area of payments system and consumer lending. In the end I diverge the protection on the active and the passive.
