Ekonomické učení Karla Engliše vychází z teorií představitelů rakouské školy, resp. jejích zakladatelů. Teorii hodnoty, fundamentální element ekonomického myšlení, taktéž od nich přejímá a včleňuje ji do své originální koncepce polylogiky vystavěné na třech způsobech myšlení. Z její důsledné implantace do teleologického myšlenkového řádu, který je dle Engliše jediný vhodný pro ekonomickou vědu, se vyjevuje noetická neujasněnost pojmů, které se dopouštějí nejstarší rakouští myslitelé a která je Englišem kritizována. Friedrich von Wieser, vedle Böhm-Bawerka zakladatel rakouského ekonomického učení, předkládá svoji teorii hodnoty, jež je v práci dána v komparaci s Englišovou. Absence důkladné formalizace a psychologizace zákonů lidského jednání ve Wieserově díle je pro Engliše stejně nepřípustná, jako Englišovo zatracování povahy nákladů jakožto obětovaného užitku pro Wiesera. Autorčinou snahou je také prokázání nelogičnosti argumentů pro Englišův negativní postoj k oportunitním nákladům. Karel Englis's economic thought is derived from theories of Austrian school representatives; let us say its founders. Theory of value, a fundamental element of economic thought, he takes over and inserts to his original conception of polylogic based on three ways of thinking. The noetic ambiguity of terms in the theory that the oldest Austrian thinkers commit and is criticised by Englis is uncovered by rigorous implementation to the teleological order of thinking which presents the unique allowable way in economic science. Friedrich von Wieser, the founder of Austrian economic school besides Böhm-Bawerk sets up his own theory of value which is compared with Englis's doctrine in this thesis. The absence of honest formalization and psychological nature of the laws of human action in Wieser's piece is unacceptable for Englis as well as the execration of opportunity cost by Englis for Wieser. The author of this thesis tries to prove the illogicality of Englis's arguments for his negative attitude forwards opportunity cost.
