Tato práce analyzuje vůdčí pozici Velké Británie a USA v historickém kontextu z hlediska faktorů ekonomických, geopolitických a institucionálních. V první části práce jsou představeny teoretické koncepty hegemonické pozice a ekonometrická analýza. V části druhé je pak samotné srovnávání hegemonické pozice Velké Británie a USA. Pro srovnávání je použita metoda kritické analýzy, u ekonomických faktorů je navíc provedena ekonometrická analýza. V závěru práce jsou pak uvedeny důvody obměny světového hegemona a je navrhnuta diskuze na téma budoucího hegemona. This paper analyses the leadership of Great Britain and the USA in the historical context in terms of economic, geopolitical and institutional factors. The first part presents the theoretical concepts of hegemonic position and econometric analysis. The second part is then the actual comparison of the hegemonic position of the United Kingdom and the USA. For comparison is used the method of critical analysis, by economic factors is also carried out an econometric analysis. The conclusion then listed the reasons for variations of the global hegemon, and is designed to discussion on future hegemon.
