Diplomová práce se zabývá současnými funkcemi honorárních konzulů a jejich významem v obchodní diplomacii a v mezinárodním obchodě. Obecná část je zaměřena na historický vývoj konzulárního zastoupení, kodifikaci mezinárodního práva vztahujícího se na konzulární vztahy a obchodní diplomacii. Praktická část analyzuje výsledky získané pomocí dotazníkového šetření od českých honorárních konzulů. The thesis deals with the present functions of the honorary consuls and their importance to the business diplomacy and international trade. The general part is focused on the historical development of the consular representation, the codification of the international law related to the consular relations and business diplomacy. The practical part analyzes the results obtained by questionnaire from the Czech honorary consuls.
