Práce se zabývá vývojem vztahů mezi Českou republikou a Kubou. Zaměřuje se zejména na vztah v období bipolarity a v současných vztazích bere ohled na problematiku lidských práv, která je zásadním determinantem vzájemných vztahů. Jedna z kapitol je věnována vztahům Evropské unie a Kuby. Cílem práce je analyzovat, jak může Česká republika ovlivnit dění na Kubě a její možný přechod k demokracii. Thesis deals with the development of relations between the Czech Republic and Cuba. It focuses particularly on their relationship at the time of bipolarity and in current relations takes into account the issue of human rights which is the major determinant of their relations. One of the chapters concentrates on the relationship between the European Union and Cuba. The goal of the thesis is to analyze, how the Czech Republic can influence events in Cuba and its possible transition to democracy.
