Transatlantické partnerství je chápáno jako vztah dvou či více zemí, popřípadě integračních seskupení, na obou březích Atlantického oceánu. Pro účely této práce jsem svůj pohled na vzájemné vztahy zúžil na vztah Evropské unie a Spojených států amerických. První kapitola se zaměřuje na východiska vzájemné spolupráce. Klade důraz na vymezení prostoru, ve kterém se vzájemný obchod uskutečňuje, na dohody a smlouvy, které vzájemnou spolupráci umožňují a usnadňují a na historické vztahy udávající vzájemné spolupráci ráz a dynamiku, jež můžeme pozorovat v dnešních dnech. Dimenze vzájemných vztahů je kapitolou druhou, která je celá analytického rázu a snaží se ukázat strukturu vzájemného obchodu a dynamiku vzájemné obchodní výměny v obchodě zbožím i službami. Třetí kapitola je stěžejní částí této práce, která se snaží najít důvody pro a proti rozšiřování vzájemné spolupráce a s tím související uskutečnění ambiciózního plánu na vytvoření zóny volného obchodu mezi oběma partnery. The transatlantic partnership is comprehended as a relation between two or more countries, eventually integration groupings, on the both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. For purposes of this thesis is my point of view on the mutual relations limited only to the European Union and the United States of America. First chapter is oriented on resources of mutual relations. It's aim is to define area, in which is bilateral trade made, on agreements and contracts, which make mutual co-operation possible and easier and on historical relations, which set mutual co-operation character and dynamics, which we can see in these days. Dimension of the mutual relations is the second chapter, which is all in the analytical sense and which tries to show structure and dynamics of the bilateral trade exchange in trade in goods and services. Third chapter is maybe most important of this thesis, which tries to find pros and cons of the enlarging of mutual co-operation. Furthermore it tries to show if it's possible to realize an ambitious plan of building a free trade area between both partners.
