Příspěvek seznamuje se základními principy průtokově-cytometrické analýzy (pitné) vody a popisuje její hlavní přednosti a nedostatky ve srovnání s konvenčně užívanými kultivačními technikami. V neposlední řadě je hodnocen potenciál průtokové cytometrie pro její rutinní využívání v analýzách vod v blízké budoucnosti. A paper describes basic principles of flow-cytometric analysis and specifies its main advantages and weaknesses compared to conventionally used cultivation techniques. Last but not least, a suitability of the method for its routine usage in drinking-water analysis is discussed.
