Bakalářská práce nazvaná Kvalita života sluchově postižených se zabývá otázkou, jaké mají lidé se sluchovým postižením v dnešní době možnosti vzdělávání, práce, jakým způsobem mohou trávit volný čas, jaká je opravdová pomoc takto postiženým lidem a co patří mezi největší překážky. V teoretické části bakalářská práce seznamuje se sluchovým postižením jako takovým. Informuje o tom, jak postižení sluchu dělíme, protože termín ,,osoba se sluchovým postižením", je sám o sobě velice široký. Dále obeznamuje o kompenzačních pomůckách, o komunikaci osob se sluchovým postižením, o výchově a vzdělání, o integraci dětí se sluchovým postižením do společnosti a kultuře neslyšících. V praktické části jsou zpracovány rozhovory s pracovníky některých poboček organizace Svaz neslyšících a nedoslýchavých v České republice. Součástí praktické části je dále rozhovor se spoluzakladatelkou občanského sdružení ORBI PONTES (Praha) a představení Tiché kavárny (Praha). This bachelor's thesis called Quality of Life of People with Hearing Impairment is concerned with opportunities for people with hearing impairment in the field of education, employment and free time. The research aims also at real help offered to people with hearing impairment and the biggest obstacle in their lives these days. The first theoretical part of the thesis guides us through different types of hearing impairment. We are going to find more on e.g. hearing aids, communication of people with hearing impairment, upbringing and education, integration of children with hearing impairment into the society and the culture of the Deaf. The practical part of the thesis works with the interviews with employees of Svaz neslyšících a nedoslýchavých ČR (Union of Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the Czech Republic). There is also an interview with a co-founder of a civic organization ORBI PONTES (Prague) and a presentation of Tichá kavárna (Silent Café, Prague).
