Bakalářská práce pojednává o vlivu druhé světové války na trh práce v USA. Vedle vysvětlování proměn trhu práce jako takového je kladen důraz také na vybrané minoritní skupiny (konkrétně ženy, Američany s japonskými předky a Afroameričany). Stěžejní část jednotlivých kapitol je vždy věnována odvětvovým změnám v zaměstnanosti na nabídkové straně trhu. Práce poukazuje na to, že v průběhu druhé světové války a poválečném období byla situace na americkém trhu práce velmi výrazně ovlivněna okolnostmi této události a zaměstnanost vykazovala pro toto období charakteristické znaky. Výsledky práce naznačují, že druhá světová válka pomohla v souvislosti s trhem práce prolomit i některé bariéry spojené s procesem zaměstnávání, čímž urychlila společenský vývoj některých skupin. This bachelor thesis focuses on the influence of the Second World War on the labor market in the USA. In addition to explaining changes to the labor market as a whole, an emphasis is put on the labor market with regard to specific relevant minorities (namely women, Americans of Japanese descent and Afro-Americans). The main part of each chapter is devoted to sector changes in employment on the supply side of the market. This thesis indicates that the circumstances of the Second World War and the Postwar Era greatly shaped the circumstances of the U.S. labor market during these periods. Employment during this time also demonstrated characteristics of being affected greatly by these significant events. The results of this thesis also indicate that the Second World War in the context of the labor market contributed to breaking certain social barriers connected to the process of employment, which in turn accelerated the social evolution of some groups.
