Diplomová práca rozoberá komplexnosť a zložitosť vzťahov Francúzska ako bývalej koloniálnej veľmoci a Pobrežia Slonoviny, jej bývalej kolónie, ktorá súčasne predstavuje jej strategického politického a ekonomického partnera. Teoretická časť obsahuje analýzu rôznych prístupov teórií medzinárodných vzťahov, prostredníctvom ktorej sa snaží o vysvetlenie charakteru týchto vzťahov. Následne teoreticky analyzuje aj francúzsku africkú politiku z pozície francúzskych prezidentov a hľadá ich spoločné rysy a charakteristiky. Praktická časť aplikuje závery z teoretickej časti a testuje pravdivosť odvodených hypotéz na konkrétnom prípade vzťahov Francúzska a Pobrežia Slonoviny v historickom priereze vzájomných vzťahov a interakcií v špecifickej nestabilnej situácii v subsaharskom regióne. Diplomová práce rozebírá komplexnost a složitost vztahů Francie jako bývalé koloniální velmoci a Pobřeží Slonoviny, její bývalé kolonie, která současně představuje jejího strategického politického i ekonomického partnera. Teoretická část obsahuje analýzu různých přístupů teorií mezinárodních vztahů, prostřednictvím které se snaží vysvětlit charakter těchto vztahů. Následně teoreticky analyzuje i francouzskou africkou politiku z pozice francouzských prezidentů a hledá jejich společné rysy a charakteristiky. Praktická část aplikuje závěry z teoretické části a testuje pravdivost odvozených hypotéz na konkrétním případě vztahů Francie a Pobřeží Slonoviny v historickém průřezu vzájemných vztahů a interakcí v specifické nestabilní situaci v subsaharském regionu. The aim of this thesis is to explain and analyze the komplexity of complicated relations between France as a former colonial power and Ivory Coast, its former colony, who also represents a strategic french political and economical partner. Theoretical part consists of the analysis of different approaches in theories of international relations. Based on the analysis, it tries to explain the character of these relations. Followed by the consecutive theoretical analysis of the french african policy practice of the french presidents and searches for the features that these policies have in common. Practical part applies the findings from the theoretical part on the concrete problem in the case of the French policy towards Ivory Coast and tests the theoretical conclusions in the historical evolution of the french and ivorian relations in the specific unstable situation that occurs in the Sub-Saharan region.
